Only two different serial port options can be active at a time. The MDS-

GP board provides two ways to set active serial port options

(see Figure 9):

•

Jumper select options on J2 (seeTable 2 on page 20).

•

Use the I

C bus expander U2 to select options through software.

These options allow serial ports to be dynamically changed. You must

remove all J2 jumpers for software

selection to work.
